Thanks to a tip from The New York Harbor Railroad, I found these inexpensive and very cool little throttle pockets called the Cab Cubby. I immediately ordered a half dozen for $12 on ebay and got free shipping. It’s a great price compared to the competition.

I spent the day at “Rails by the Bay” Northwest Raiload Prototype Modelers Meet. The meet featured four clinics, hundreds of prototype model exhibits by about twenty modelers, and a great raffle. It was a grat chance to meet some interesting people and swap railroad stories and modeling plans.

Now this is real cool! I guess I missed the announcement last month, but Athearn is releasing a 57′ reefer with sound. I’ve never really thought about putting sound in a reefer, but now that I see it, it’s a gotta have it thing.

A test run on my Alaskan Steamship Co. Free-moN module. The module is 42″ x 16″ and features the old Alaskan Steamship Company transfer warehouse and office building located in a run down part of Chinatown.
